The Fridge Roller Slide is as well thought out as the ARB Fridge Freezer and incorporates numerous features that make the Fridge Roller Slide both flexible and useful. The Fridge Roller Slide's tray locks in both the open and closed positions, and the lock may be positioned on the left or right side to suit different mounting locations on your particular vehicle. The sliding tray glides on sealed roller bearings that will not be contaminated by field use, and the bearings are adjustable to prevent rattling and to compensate for the inevitable wear and tear from years of heavy use. The Fridge Roller Slide measures 29" x 20", and the tray is pre-drilled for the foot patterns of the new ARB Fridge Freezer, the older ARB MT45 Freezer Fridge, and the Engel 45 Freezer Fridge, with transit bags or without. ARB Bushranger X-Jack (72X10US) $236 The ARB Bushranger X-Jack will lift a 8,800 lb. vehicle up to 31" high, and yet it folds flat for convenient storage and transport. When developing the X-Jack, the design engineers at Bushranger recognized that conventional jacks were not well suited to all types of terrain and people of differing physical strengths. In soft and unstable areas of mud, sand, and snow, the X-Jack offers a wider footprint to avoid sinking and uses triangular-shaped rubber feet on its base to keep the X-Jack firmly grounded. The X-Jack is also usable by people of all sizes and strengths, as well as those who do not have the storage space for a Hi-Lift Jack in their vehicles. The X-Jack incorporates a unique two-way inflation system: (1) the included exhaust connection kit; and (2) a standard Schrader valve. This means that either the exhaust or a portable air compressor can be used, providing added control in determining the rate and extent of lift. If desired, the user the may inflate the X-Jack using both the exhaust and another onboard air source such as an air compressor or Power Tank. The two-way inflation system also permits the user to inflate the X-Jack if his vehicle will not run for whatever reason. For greater ease and stability, the X-Jack is designed to be placed under the side of the body rather than positioned under an axle like a traditional jack. Crawling around under your vehicle to position your conventional jack properly can now be a thing of the past. With an ARB X-Jack, simply place the unit on the ground beneath the side of the vehicle to be raised and connect the hose to your vehicle's exhaust. When the engine is started, the jack inflates. A solid hard plate integrated into the top of the X-Jack protects against punctures. You will not find a higher quality, more thoroughly designed and manufactured vehicle protection system than an ARB Bar. Engineering a Bar requires careful consideration of numerous factors to ensure it properly serves its purpose.
Factors such as vehicle design, crush rate, air bag deployment, approach angles, equipment fitment, strength, weight, and aesthetics are incorporated into every ARB Bar before it enters production.
ARB has invested heavily in vehicle crash barrier tests to validate the performance and compliance of its airbag-compatible Bars. With an airbag-equipped vehicle, it is essential that the vehicle's crush rate and air bag triggering is not altered when an ARB Bar is installed. To ensure compatibility, ARB assesses each vehicle's frontal crush characteristics and replicates the crush rate into the design of each airbag-compatible Bar and its mounting system. This method enables ARB's engineers to achieve maximum vehicle and passenger protection without affecting the vehicle's crash pulse.

When the ARB Air Locker is activated, the clutch gear moves laterally and engages the splined side gear, locking the differential into a single unit. Locked in this fashion, the ARB Air Locker acts like a spool and permits no differentiation.
Here are two views of the ARB Air Locker. On the left, the clutch gear is disengaged and the Air Locker is completely open like a standard differential. On the right, the clutch gear has moved laterally and engaged the splined side gear, locking the ARB Air Locker into a spool. The user may lock or unlock the ARB Air Locker at will. When the user depresses the Air Locker's switch the other way, the clutch gear disengages from the splined side gear and the ARB Air Locker is once again an open differential.
Not only is the ARB Air Locker miles ahead of the factory differential in off-highway performance, the ARB Air Locker is also considerably stronger than the factory differential. A factory Land Rover differential is shown above. Note that the carrier is open on two sides and there are only two side gears.
The RD56 Air Locker is built around a solid carrier and has four side gears.
ARB's locker testing bench tests the Air Locker's strength against the halfshaft. ARB tests both factory halfshafts and Heavy-Duty Halfshafts, with ARB's goal always being to have the halfshafts break well before there is any damage to the Air Locker.
Unlike the larger CKMA12 Air Compressor, the CKSA12 Air Compressor was designed and built exclusively for activating ARB Air Lockers. The CKSA12 is not suitable for inflating tires.

The blue retaining sleeve may be loosened and the CKMA12's entire body may be rotated to give the unit a more horizontal rather than vertical silhouette relative to the mounting feet. A full 180 degrees of rotation is available.
Accordingly, the CKMA12's piston assembly may be mounted vertically or horizontally relative to the mounting feet.
The orientation of the gas ports for the solenoids may also be rotated a full 180 degrees to make the installation as compact and aesthetically pleasing as possible.
The CKMA12's solenoids feature a sintered air filter to prevent contamination.

Adjusting the ARB Fridge Freezer's functions is not difficult, but instructions are printed inside the lid in case you forget.
There is no low/medium/high setting on the ARB Fridge Freezer. You set the target temperature you want (in Celsius or Fahrenheit) and the unit will run until the cabinet reaches your desired temperature. Thereafter it will cycle on and off to maintain the target temperature.
On the Engel 45 Freezer Fridge or the older ARB units, the user turned a dial to a particular number. From experience, we just set our dials to 1.5 and found that the contents of our fridges would be very close to freezing. This is not a major inconvenience and we never used thermometers on our personal fridges. We did, however, blow up a few sodas and even some beers while learning that 1.5 was the nicest temperature setting to use. It is nice to be able to set a target temperature rather than guess at dial settings based on experience, and the ARB Fridge Freezer allows this.
We have never had battery-drain issues with our personal Engel and ARB freezer-fridges, but probably the biggest concern to new users and potential buyers of these units is whether they will drain their vehicles' battery. The ARB Fridge Freezer is fitted with an integral battery monitor to prevent draining your vehicle's battery. There are three different power settings: low, medium, and high. When set to low, the battery monitor will allow maximum use of the vehicle's battery. When set to high, the battery monitor will provide maximum protection against battery drainage. When the battery monitor senses voltage drop to a particular level, it will turn off the cooling function. When the battery monitor senses a rise in voltage to a particular level, it will turn on the cooling function once again. For example, the battery monitor on low setting will shut down the Fridge Freezer when voltage drops to 10.1V and restart the Fridge Freezer when voltage rises to 11.4V. High setting will shut down the Fridge Freezer at 11.8V and restart at 12.6V.
The ARB Fridge Freezer has the ability to run on 12/24V DC or 100-240V AC power,
and comes standard with both of the power cords to run on both power sources. The 12/24V DC plug with detachable fitting so that it will work with Merit/Hella sockets as well as standard cigarette-lighter sockets. The rear of the unit features clips to prevent inadvertent disconnection of the power cables.
The ARB Fridge Freezer has a heavy-duty lid that swivels on stainless steel hinges. The lid is removable for cleaning but does not detach inadvertently.
The lid locks closed with a cam-lock latch.
When locked, the latch sits flush with the contours of the lid.
The steel carry handles are recessed double as tie-down points.
Handles are fitted both front and rear.
The bottom of the Fridge Freezer features rubber feet to secure the Fridge Freezer in place. The rubber feet are secured with screws and the threads can be used for hard-mounting the Fridge Freezer in place.
The Fridge Freezer's interior layout maximizes usable space and offers two different temperature zones.
The basket features a removable partition and a single high wall that acts as a partition between the main compartment and the dairy/fruit compartment.
If the user so desires, he may remove the partition from the basket and fill the basket.
If he wants to segregate fragile objects to protect them or make different-sized objects easier to access, he may leave the partition in the basket.
The tall single wall of the basket segregates the contents of the basket from the dairy/fruit compartment. If the user wants to put something like a sheet cake or platter inside the ARB Fridge Freezer, he may flip around the basket so that the tall wall is against the front of the unit, which creates a very long compartment of the fridge.
Like the well-known Engel 45 Freezer Fridge, the ARB Fridge Freezer is tall enough to hold cans in a three-can column. There are 20 cans on the base layer shown, so you can see that the ARB Fridge Freezer will hold 60 cans in the primary compartment. If desired, the ARB Fridge Freezer will also hold an additional 12-pack of cans in the dairy/fruit compartment for a whopping 72-can total capacity. This is tremendous capacity for a unit that is the same size as an Engel 45. And the storage space in the ARB Fridge Freezer is much more usable too because the 72-can capacity can be broken down into different compartments if desired.
Shown are an Engel 45 basket on the left and an ARB Fridge Freezer basket on the right. Both baskets will hold 60 cans of soda, but look how much more size-efficient the ARB Fridge Freezer's basket is. The Engel 45 basket doesn't quite hold four cans wide while the ARB Fridge Freezer's basket does. Thus, the Engel 45's basket has to be slightly longer to fit 60 cans.
Both baskets are the same height, but differ in length and width.
The ARB Fridge Freezer's basket will hold cans in a perfect 4 x 5 pattern while the Engel 45's basket has some wasted space in it.
And then there's the extra dairy/fruit compartment in the ARB Fridge Freezer. This 12-can space is actually very useful space. Whatever is stored in this area is segregated from the contents of the basket and protected from damage. This is a perfect place for eggs or fruits. Note that there is no cooling element in this area. ARB designed the dairy/fruit compartment to be three to five degrees warmer than the basket compartment. You can now have your drinks ice cold, but your eggs or fruits or cream cheese just cold. If you are using your ARB Fridge Freezer in the freezer mode, you can still have a small compartment for refrigerated items like drinks.
If you use your freezer-fridge for freezing as well as refrigerating, you will get condensation inside your unit. This is inevitable.
The water will pool at the bottom of the freezer-fridge. This isn't a huge deal. It's just water. However, it's there.
The ARB Fridge Freezer features an integral drain plug to facilitate cleaning.
To drain the ARB Fridge Freezer, simply pull the plug and let the water drain through the bottom. Again, this isn't a huge deal. But the ARB Fridge Freezer is an exercise in excellence rather than good enough. So it has a drain plug.
At the front of the interior compartment is an integral fridge light.
The fridge light is a low-power LED unit that turns on when the fridge is open and turns off when the fridge is closed.
The ARB Fridge Freezer represents the current state of the art in portable freezer-fridges.
The ARB Transit Bag fits the new 47-liter Fridge Freezer and serves three primary functions. First, it protects your ARB Fridge Freezer from the inevitable knocks and scrapes with a cushion layer. Second, it supplements the ARB Fridge Freezer's own insulation and makes the Fridge Freezer work more efficiently and cycle less often.
Third, it features an inner reflective layer that offers heat protection from direct sunlight.
The outer layer of the Transit Bag is made of a high-quality blue canvas and features an accessory pocket on the side. The accessory pocket is perfect for holding the "other" power cord and smaller items like bottle openers.
The rear of the Transit Bag features ventilation screens to permit proper cooling.
In the screens is a slot for the power cords, making the Transit Bag fully compatible with the Fridge Freezer's power cord clips.
The Transit Bag is reinforced around the feet area of the Fridge Freezer.
The bottom of the Transit Bag is also cut away to permit use of the Fridge Freezer's drain plug without having to remove the Transit Bag.
For vehicles with lift gates or vertical clearance problems, the ARB Fridge Roller Slide is available. The Fridge Roller Slide is as well thought out as the ARB Fridge Freezer and incorporates numerous features that make the Fridge Roller Slide both flexible and useful.
The Fridge Roller Slide's tray locks in both the open and closed positions, and the lock may be positioned on the left or right side to suit different mounting locations on your particular vehicle. To unlock the slide, simply depress the locking lever.
The sliding tray glides on sealed roller bearings that will not be contaminated by field use, and the bearings are adjustable to prevent rattling and to compensate for the inevitable wear and tear from years of heavy use.
The Fridge Roller Slide measures 29" x 20". Thus, the Fridge Roller Slide will accommodate the new ARB Fridge Freezer, the older ARB MT45 Freezer Fridge, and the Engel 45 Freezer Fridge, with transit bags or without.
In fact, the Fridge Roller Slide's tray is pre-drilled for the foot patterns of the new ARB Fridge Freezer, the older ARB MT45 Freezer Fridge, and the Engel 45 Freezer Fridge.
If you like, you can use these pre-drilled holes to hard-mount any of the aforementioned fridges to the Fridge Roller Slide so that you don't need to use separate tie-downs to secure your fridge.
The pre-drilled holes line up with the mounting screws for the aforementioned fridges' mounting feet.
If you hard-mount your freezer fridge to the Fridge Roller Slide, the result is very pleasing from an aesthetic standpoint. There are no straps or hooks to clutter up the fridge or slide tray. The obvious negative of hard-mounting is that it is work to dismount your fridge. If you like to use your fridge as a home or office fridge when you are not in the field, the hard-mounting option will not be suitable for you. If you are the type who likes to leave his fridge in his vehicle at all times, the hard-mounting option becomes very attractive.
Alternatively, you may secure your ARB Fridge Freezer to the Fridge Roller Slide in a less permanent manner using the ARB Fridge Tie Down Kit. All of the mounting tabs and fasteners required to mount the Fridge Tie Down Kit to the Fridge Roller Slide are included, and the Fridge Tie Down Kit is completely compatible with the ARB Fridge Freezer's Transit Bag.
The large hooks of the Tie Down Kit secure to the ARB Fridge Freezer's carry handles.
The large hooks are secured to the Fridge Roller Slide with the included hard points and straps. Four different straps and hard points are included. Use all four to secure the fridge properly. To remove the fridge, simply loosen the cinch straps, remove the large hooks from the fridge's handles, and lift off the fridge.
If you want to fit headlights with higher-than-standard-wattage bulbs, you must install the Heavy-Duty Wiring Loom to prevent damage to your factory headlight wiring. The Heavy-Duty Wiring Loom will transfer power directly from your battery to your high-power headlights and will prevent heavy power loads from harming your factory wiring harness. Installation is very simple as the Heavy-Duty Wiring Loom simply plugs into your stock wiring harness' connectors.
The ARB Heavy-Duty Wiring Loom is recommended for all Defenders, regardless of headlight wattage used, as the Defenders lack a relay for the headlight wiring harness and frequently burn out factory headlight switches. Shown above is a new Land Rover Genuine Parts Defender Headlight Switch, which has a tendency to burn out because of the lack of a relay in the Defender headlights' wiring scheme. With no relay in the headlight wiring scheme, all of the current required to illuminate the headlights must flow through the switch.
The heat generated by the relatively high current flow is sufficient to melt the switch. The copper contacts of the switch become displaced and the switch no longer functions because continuity is lost.
You can avoid having to replace your headlight switch periodically by fitting the M002 Loom to your Defender.

The ARB Speedy Seal Puncture Repair Kit quickly and easily repairs tubeless tires without having to remove the tire from the vehicle or the wheel.
The ARB Speedy Seal Puncture Repair Kit is almost identical in both concept and execution to the Safety Seal Tire Repair Kit. The ARB kit has some extras that the Safety Seal Kit lacks, such as a valve core tool, valve cores, valve caps, and a tire gauge. The Safety Seal contains extras that the ARB kit lacks, such as razor blades, spare needle, and replacement set screw for the tools. Take your choice.
The Speedy Seal Kit is contained within a high-visibility orange blow-molded case to keep its contents organized and protected.
Two small Allen wrenches are stored within the Speedy Seal Kit's lid.
Each Speedy Seal Kit contains 30 self-vulcanizing repair cords.
The primary tools in the Speedy Seal Kit are the spiral-faced probe/reamer and the needle insertion tool.
The spiral-faced probe/reamer that is designed to spread the cords in steel-belted radial tires. The spreading of the steel belts will facilitate insertion of the self-vulcanizing cords. The spiral-faced probe/reamer is extremely effective, and even tires with multiple steel belts like the Michelin XZL will accommodate the insertion of a self-vulcanizing cord after the probe is used to spread the steel belts.
The tip of the needle is open to permit the Safety Seal strip to slide out and remain inside the tire. The needle's open-ended design combined with the sliding collar make for a very effective and easy-to-use tool.
The Speedy Seal Kit also includes additional valve accessories including valve tool, spare valves and valve caps.
The Speedy Seal Kit's valve tool is identical to the Coilhose Pneumatics Four-Way Schrader Valve Repair Tool, and is fitted with four separate tools that enable servicing and maintenance of both the valve cores and valve stems.
The bottom of the valve tool has a thread chaser for chasing mangled threads on Schrader valve threads.
Simply thread the valve tool onto the the Schrader valve's brass threads to clean them up.
The top end of the tool features a two-pronged tip for unthreading valve cores.
Every Schrader valve core features two flats on the tip for easy removal. The two prongs on the valve tool mate with the two flats on the core head and permit the core to be removed and replaced.
Here is a view of the valve core inside the valve stem.
To remove the core, simply place the pronged end of the valve tool into the valve stem.
Align the valve tool's prongs with the flats on the core head and thread out the valve core.
Using this method, valve cores are easily removed without damaging them. Do not use needlenose pliers for this task.
Valve cores often break, which is the primary reason to replace them in the first place.
The valve tool features a screw extractor that is similar in concept and design to an Easy Out. This tool features a reverse thread and a slotted side for biting into broken valve cores.
To use the valve core extractor, simply insert the valve tool into the broken valve core and turn counterclockwise. The valve tool will bite into the center of the broken valve core and permit you to unthread the broken valve core from the valve stem.
Broken core removal is easy using this method.
The fourth tool on the valve tool is a thread chaser for the inside of the valve stem.
Carefully insert the valve tool into the valve core so that the threads align and chase the brass threads within the valve core.
The valve tool is so useful, it is an indispensable part of the ARB Speedy Seal Kit.
The Speedy Seal Kit also includes a tire pressure gauge.
The gauge reads pressure in both PSI and KPa, and features a two-headed design for accessing valve stems in tight areas.
The ARB Speedy Seal Puncture Repair Kit is a very complete tire repair kit. However, we do recommend supplementing it with other tire tools and spares. Spare tire valve stems are always a prudent thing to carry in one's field tool set.
It is not uncommon to break valve stems on difficult trails.
For installing tubeless valve stems, our favorite tool is the Coilhose Pneumatics Tubeless Valve Tool shown above.
The Tubeless Valve Tool's great leverage makes installing even the tightest valve stems a snap, yet the tool is only 11" long and will easily fit into field tool sets. The padded shank prevents damage to wheels from the levering action.
The unique, patented design of the ARB E-Z Tire Deflator allows for removal of the valve core for rapid deflation of very large tires, while also providing accurate tire reading via the simple movement of a sliding valve.
The Bronze Bourdon Tube gauge design ensures accuracy is not affected by changes in temperature, humidity, or altitude. The dial is large and legible, and provides accurate pressure readings in 1 PSI increments from 4 to 60 PSI.
The dial housing is protected by a vinyl boot.
Protective canvas pouch and instruction sheet are included with every E-Z Deflator.
Using the E-Z Deflator is very simple. With the slide valve pushed forward and the valve core removed pulled back, thread the valve stem adapter onto the valve stem.
Push the valve core remover forward until it engages the valve core. Turn the valve core remover counterclockwise to remove the valve core.
When the valve core is removed, air pressure will push the valve core remover out and the gauge will read the tire pressure.
Pull the slide valve to release air. Air will pour out of the tire at a very fast rate with the valve core removed.
Push the slide valve forward to stop the deflation and check the tire pressure. The gauge will not read the pressure correcting during deflating.
When you reach the desired pressure, push the valve core remover forward and turn it clockwise until the valve core seats firmly. Do not overtighten.
Remove the E-Z Deflator by turning the valve stem adapter counterclockwise.
Fit a valve cap. Uncovered valve stems like the one shown above will leak as the valve core seal's will deteriorate from exposure to the elements.
Lift the front of your vehicle more safely while using your Hi-Lift Jack with the ARB Hi-Lift Jack Adapter. The adapter mounts securely to the front lashing ring on non-airbag ARB Bars and provides a receptacle for Hi-Lift Jack's lifting tongue.

The ARB Bushranger X-Jack will lift a 8,800 lb. vehicle up to 31" high, and yet it folds flat for convenient storage and transport. When developing the X-Jack, the design engineers at Bushranger recognized that conventional jacks were not well suited to all types of terrain and people of differing physical strengths. In soft and unstable areas of mud, sand, and snow, the X-Jack offers a wider footprint to avoid sinking and uses triangular-shaped rubber feet on its base to keep the X-Jack firmly grounded.
