At EE, we are all about lighting. We are addicted to it. We love Hella Auxiliary Lights, such as these Hella FF300s mounted to the Safety Devices Highlander Roof Rack. We believe that all vehicles that venture off-highway should have auxiliary lighting for additional safety at night. Even if you don't intend to wheel at night, it is very common to set out during the day and, for whatever reason, to reach your destination after nightfall.
We even have lights under our vehicles to facilitate nighttime spotting and vehicle repairs.
For adventure motorcycle applications, we love lights like the Hella Micro DE Fogs mounted to this BMW 1150 GS Adventure. Auxiliary lights such as these increase nighttime visibility and conspicuity, both essentials for safe motorcycling.
Our love of good lights goes beyond vehicular applications. For personal lighting, we love our SureFire CombatLights. SureFire CombatLights are intensely bright, so they are unsuitable for many tasks such as reading. Surefire Lights also require the user to hold them with the hand, which makes them unsuitable for tasks that require both hands. So while SureFire CombatLights are perfect for reaching out and lighting up someone or something, they cannot do it all.
That is why we carry the line of Black Diamond Headlamps. These are our favorite headlamps. Black Diamond headlamps are the most innovative and provide more functions and options than other headlamps.
With a headlamp, you can walk around the trails and illuminate the path ahead. This is much safer than groping around in the dark for a suitable path.
Tasks around camp are also easier with a headlamp on.
Both hands are left free to perform their tasks and whenever you turn your head, that is where the light is shining.
The Black Diamond Ion is small enough to stash almost anywhere,
and the adjustable strap lets the Ion be mounted almost anywhere. The Ion is the lightest headlamp at 30 grams.
A single switch on the bottom of the Ion's body controls the on/off and high/low settings.
The reflector-housed 1/2 watt LED casts a far-reaching beam, and the head pivots to angle the light any where you need it.
The user may toggle between high-output and low-output settings.
A replaceable six-bolt battery provides power for 15 hours at the low setting and three hours on the high setting. Battery included.
The Ion comes in blue, orange, or silver colors. We carry them all. If you want a particular color Ion, please specify in your customer notes which color you would like. If you don't specify in your customer notes which color you would like, we will send you whatever color we have on hand.
The Black Diamond White Pearl Spot is an all-LED unit that uses a single HyperBright LED or three SuperBright LEDs to light up the night. Its top, one-watt HyperBright LED is lensed, allowing it to project a beam of light for reach, while the three lower LEDs offer brilliant proximity lighting.
You can toggle between the single HyperBright LED or a three SuperBright LEDs options using the top-mounted switch, and you can choose from four lighting levels for both modes—min, mid, max and strobe—to tailor the light output to your needs.
The Spot's body may be tilted to point the lamp in the desired direction. The swing arc is from straight ahead to straight down.
The Spot's integral battery box holds 3 AAA batteries and is easy to access. The batteries-up-front design works great for when you’re under your vehicle with your head flat on the ground.
John liked the Spot so much he modified it to fit his Engel 45 Freezer Fridge. John removed the strap and attached some industrial-strength Velcro to the back of the Spot's body.
John now has a light for his Engel 45.
The Spot really lights up the Engel 45's contents at night.
The Spot is for those users who prefer nothing on the back of the head so that they may rest their head on the ground, such as when working under vehicles.
Make your time in the field more enjoyable and easier with a Black Diamond headlamp.
The Black Diamond Apollo is a bright, non-glaring, soup-can sized backcountry lantern with foldable legs and NRG rechargeable battery compatibility. The Apollo is equipped to illuminate all of your nighttime camping activities such as cooking, lounging around camp, or reading inside your tent or vehicle. The Apollo’s diffused globe combined with its three-watt LED eliminate glare while the dual reflectors capture and maximize light output.
The on/off switch also acts as a unique dimming switch to provide brightness adjustment from very low to high.
The Apollo's distinctive folding legs increase the Apollo’s height to 9.5", boosting light dispersion.
And yet the legs fold for tighter storage or transport.
With the Apollo's legs folded, it is made much more compact for storage or transport inside your Pelican Protector Cases.
The Apollo is extremely versatile. The Apollo will stand on flat ground,
sparse ground,
and uneven ground.
A loop on top of the Apollo increases mounting methods for use.
The user may hang the Apollo from a line,
or he may hang the Apollo from a hook.
The Apollo is available in Dark Chocolate and Ultra White.
The Apollo runs on 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included) or Black Diamond’s NRG Rechargeable Battery Kit (also sold separately).
A small LED on the side of the Apollo's body serves as a battery power indicator with green, yellow or red colors that display either the amount of battery power left or the charging status of the NRG. A green light indicates greater than 50% of battery capacity. A yellow light indicates 20% to 50% battery capacity. And a red light indicates less than 20% battery capacity.
Make the Apollo a part of your camp kit.
