Brunton's most popular lantern, the Glorb wins the hearts of campers every day and around the globe.
Innovative, efficient, and extremely size-efficient at 5.5" tall x 2.3" wide, the Glorb is a self-contained butane lantern with a built-in piezo igniter and foldout base. Dim it down to set the mood, or crank it up to read by. The Glorb does both.
The Glorb may be lit without matches or a lighter. Simply depress the red button to activate the Glorb's piezo igniter.
The Glorb may be used with a mantle for up to 60 watts of bright light, or without a mantle as a candle lantern. The ability to illuminate without a mantle makes the Glorb extremely versatile. Mantles are relatively delicate, and are the weakest link in the butane lantern system. If you're traveling and break a mantle, you can still use the Glorb to illuminate your camp area. Other butane lanterns are useless without mantles. Not the Glorb.
The Glorb's feet hinge inward for compact storage or transportation, and then splay outward to make the Glorb less susceptible to tipping during use.
Here are two shots of the Glorb, one with the feet closed and the other with the feet open.
The base of the Glorb may be removed without tools for easy refilling.
The middle of the Glorb's base features a standard butane valve. Use Brunton's convenient FuelTool to fill with high-performance Bruntane Isobutane/Propane Canisters to fill your Glorb. Alternatively, the Glorb may be refilled using standard butane canisters found in many stores around the globe. You'll get approximately two hours of burn time from a single filling.
Brunton offers a replacement three-pack of mantles for the Glorb. If you use a lantern that requires mantles--and the Glorb does--always keep spare mantles with you. They are very lightweight and take almost no room, so there is no reason not to have spares on hand.
Light up your camp with the Glorb.

Brunton Bruntane canisters are recyclable and fitted with a standard thread Lindal leakproof valve which means they will screw onto most stoves and lanterns. Bruntane canisters are equipped with self-sealing safety valves and employ the standard Lindal Valve threading for easy interchangeability with most common gas canisters from other manufacturers like the Snow Peak GigaPower and PRIMUS PowerGas systems.

Like the 8 oz. Bruntane, the 4 oz. Bruntane canisters are recyclable and fitted with a standard thread Lindal leakproof valve which means they will screw onto most stoves and lanterns. Bruntane canisters are equipped with self-sealing safety valves
The 8 oz. Bruntane is on the left, while the 4 oz. Bruntane is on the right. Both canisters share the same diameter but differ in height. Unlike the 8 oz. Bruntane, the 4 oz. Bruntane does not feature a gauge.
Both the 8 oz. and 4 oz. Bruntane canisters are equipped with self-sealing safety valves and employ the standard Lindal Valve threading for easy interchangeability with most common gas canisters from other manufacturers like the Snow Peak GigaPower and PRIMUS PowerGas systems. If you're considering the purchase of a field stove, make sure that the threading system or systems it employs are standard. Avoid the stoves with proprietary fuel systems.

yet hinges closed for easy storage and transportation. Rubber grips on the CanStand's legs help it to stick to surfaces and increase stability.
The Brunton FuelTool is a necessity for users of the Brunton Helios and Glorb products.
Thread the FuelTool onto the Brunton Bruntane canisters,
Snow Peak GigaPower or PRIMUS PowerGas canisters, or any fuel canister with Lindal Valve threading,
like the Jetboil Jetpower canisters.
A spring-loaded protective guard keeps the needle safe and straight during storage and transport. This guard may be hinged downward immediately before use.
The FuelTool allows you to refill butane lighters and lanterns directly.
The FuelTool has a standard butane needle and will also refill other tools like cordless soldering irons. There’s no need for expensive butane cylinder fuels when you can get it straight from the butane canister.
