| The Diamond Antenna HV7A Multiband HF/VHF/UHF Mobile Antenna is resonant on the 10m, 6m, 2m, and 70cm amateur bands, plus an additional HF amateur band through the fitment of one four optional HF loading coils: HVC7 (40m), HVC14 (20m), HVC18 (17m), or HVC21 (15m). Unlike other multiband HF antennas, the HV7A requires no moving of connections, actuation of switches, or fitment of jumpers, for true multiband operation. The HV7A is a 1/4-wavelength design providing 2.15 dB of gain on the 6m band, a 5/8-wavelength design providing 2.15 dB of gain on the 2m band, and a 2 x 5/8 wavelength design providing 5.5 dB gain on the 70cm band. The HV7A is ideal for users of the Icom IC-706MkIIG, Yaesu FT100, and Yaesu 8900, as well for one-antenna use with separate HF and VHF/UHF transceivers. The optional Diamond Antenna MX-62M Duplexer combines separate HF/50 and VHF/UHF outputs into a single coaxial connection. The HV7A is 54" tall and weighs 605 grams. The HV7A features fold-over ability for entry into low overhead clearance areas. Power rating is 120 watts on HF and 200 watts on VHF/UHF. The connector type is a gold-plated UHF/PL-259. Chrome finish with black loading coil covers. The H7VA is not recommended for magnet mounts and is not suitable for offroad use. For use on the HF and 6m bands, grounding is required. |
