Power Distribution

What's the best way to wire up accessories like the 2m radio, GPS, etc.? The JL Audio distribution block looks to be the ticket for wire organization but the 8 AWG looks to be overkill for accessories like the GPS. The GPS takes it's power from 30 AWG wire. I'd like to clean up the mess of wiring stacked on my threaded battery posts.

I am interested in this as well. No one has any great advice?

Wire in an auxilary fuse block then tap your accessories in from there.

This looks a little more solid. Not really keen on drilling into the battery box, though.

Those are nice, never used them. The Blue Seas stuff is pretty rugged and well put together. I've seen them in use and used them for years with no issues. The Blue Seas breaker switchboard on my center console flats boat is 10 years old with no issues still looks and performs like the day I put it in. It is exposed to direct saltwater spray and rain on a regular basis.

Looks good. I hope to see how others on this board mount their distribution blocks in their Defender's seat boxes. I'm concerned that drilling the box may be a bad idea as it just opens up another place for water to ingress. Also, I don't want to drill the box each time I mount a new component down there. Perhaps a piece of starboard could be used as a mounting surface.
