I also went on a ride today near my house. I was getting ready to pull the old tires and tubes off my old Mavic clinchers and put new ones on. Just for kicks I decided to see if the old tires still held air.

Unbelievably they did-but they don't look good. (see pic).

I wanted to try out my new/old Adidas I picked up on Ebay from Australia so I went ahead and took it out for a few miles.

The tires actually held up. However, I got rid of my frame-mounted pump years ago and don't intend to get another so I ordered a Hutchinson CO2 adapter and I'll keep it in my jersey pocket.
