Okay, this weekend is on.
I'll post up coordinates for a rally spot for friday night later on today. I'm thinking somewhere on BLM south of Ballarat, West of the salt flats.

Meet here on friday night.

+35° 59' 8.87", -117° 18' 35.05"

Rick and I are going to drive up from San Diego together and we're shooting to get there in the afternoon/evening while it's still light. David is also shooting for an earlyish arrival.

Steve, is Nicole coming? Do you guys want to shoot? Rick and I were still thinking about doing some mini IDPA match if we were sure it was okay.

Nicole can’t make it. I will bring some guns in the chance that we find a good spot. I am planning to leave Orange County before noon.

Not Quite. We made it all the way to Fallbrook, which is about 25 mi north of my place. DieHard Platinum Marine batteries and Odyssey batteries are awesome. My folks live in Fallbrook, so I was able to borrow a battery from them to get the rest of the way home. Thanks for your help. Now to find a shop in San Diego that rebuilds alternators.

That's pretty good - about 230 miles without an alternator - glad you made it that far.

Here are a few pics...

i forget the name, but there is a shop off of convoy and the 52 that rebuilds them for about 80 bucks (at least 5 years ago, ha) i think jack knows the name if not i can try and get it.

Marcus
I'll take a look over on Convoy tomorrow to see if I can find it. If you remember any more let me know. I found a place called Broadway Auto Electric in Lemon Grove that may work.
Thanks

Rick, you could always go this route

http://www.premierpowerwelder.com/specs/ppwspecs.html

or buy 4 alternators from Autozone!

Yes. Ballarat - Goler - Warm Springs - Badwater - Furnace Creek - up to Grapevine on Saturday - camped off Racetrack Road. Teakettle - Racetrack - Lippincott - Hunter Mountain/South Pass on Sunday.
