RRC Steering Shaft Option

The rubber coupler on my steering shaft on my '89 RRC had largely disintegrated a while back and I have been running with a trail fix (2 hose clamps cinched down and holding what was left together).

Yesterday I decided to replace the rubber steering coupler and/or possibly change the shaft to the Disco I shaft that I carry as a back-up. I feel the Disco shaft is superior since it has a smaller rubber coupling and it is also adjustable about an inch which makes it much easier to change out. It also comes with a heat barrier sheath that snaps over the top.

After replacing the coupler, I realized that the Disco shaft is at least a 1/2 inch shorter even with the adjustment all the way out which makes it even easier to change.
