Handheld Transceiver what is your vote?

I am looking at the following HTs. Icom IC-92AD, IC-91A/AD, IC-T90A; Yaesu VX-6R, VX-7R, VX-8R. Who has experience with any or would you suggest another route. I like the IC-92AD and the Yaesus because they are submersible, not that I plan on dropping them in the water, but they should be sealed up better from the elements.

I don't know much about D-Star. Has anyone used it? There isn't a D-Star repeater nearby, but a few of the local operators have D-Star capable transceivers.

spend some time reading the AMATEUR RADIO LICENSE TESTING - Feb 25th. post. HTs and d-star are covered within.

I have a VX-7R and really like it.

VX-3R. If you need APRS, VX-8R. I have the 91AD and never use it.
