Some Matco Tools Space Porn

"STS105-E-5175 (13 August 2001) --- Astronaut James S. Voss, retrieves a small tool from a tool case in the U.S.-built Unity node aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The Expedition Two flight engineer is only days away from returning to Earth following five months aboard the orbital outpost."

Whether in space on earth, using nice tools always brings a smile to the lucky user. Here's the supersize version of the same pic:

Check out his socket rails. They're the same ones as these Matco ones:

These rails are made for Matco by WIM, but I believe Matco has the exclusive on the blue ones. So it would seem that there is some Matco action on the ISS. All of the the tools are Snap-on though. And the watch is, of course, an OMEGA. His spectacles are those Silhouette Titan Minimal Arts. Nice.

Also interesting are the white tool rolls velcroed to the wall below the Makita drill and the Vise-Grip pliers. Each roll has its contents listed, e.g., torque instruments, cutting implements, screwdrivers, pliers, etc. Pretty sweet. I could ask the people at Bucket Boss to do the same thing, but somehow I don't think that would fly too well.
