Servais Knaven's Eddy Merckx:

Quote:
Moments after crossing the line victorious in the 2001 Paris-Roubaix, a euphoric Knaven passed off his bike to Domo-Farm Frites mechanics, and was swept up in a media hurricane.

Hours later, back at the team hotel for a post-victory celebration, a mechanic pulled Knaven aside, pointed to the Eddy Merckx frame propped up against the wall. The mechanic, veteran wrench Chris van Roosbroeck, didnít wash it, and nearly 15 years later, the same mud and grime from Knavenís greatest professional moment remains caked onto the frame.

ďIt was the mechanics who chose not to wash it. After the podium, the bikes are always washed, but I am thankful they didnít clean it,Ē Knaven told VeloNews. ďI didnít even think about the bike. Moments after winning Roubaix, my mind was elsewhere.Ē

2001 was the last wet Roubaix:

That's not the prettiest Eddy Merckx bike of all time, but Knaven had a very beautiful position on the bike:

Love his aero position.

First Sanremo and now Roubaix? Degenkolb is booming.

Cycling world sounds off on Roubaix train controversy:

http://velonews.competitor.com/2015/...roversy_366430

I didn't think this was that big of a deal, but I guess it is.

My favorite comment:

Quote:
@fmk_RoI we can go round and round on this, but my point stands: adjusting schedules for trains on route is reasonable.

Your point stands? Sorry, moron, but the train schedules are already adjusted and have been for quite a while:

Try as the organizers might, it's pretty much inevitable that these things are going to happen. This year, the cause was probably the tailwinds. In other years, there will be delays that cause trains to interrupt the race. Deal with it. Even in France, you can't shut down the entire country because Paris-Roubaix is going on.

Another brilliant one:

Quote:
Dear cyclocross, please teach world tour road racing how to build an effing flyover so we can stop tweeting about trains. Thank you!

No, oh God no. Don't make Paris-Roubaix into Dennis the Menace Park.

Is anyone here going to watch a stage of the Amgen Tour of California?

http://tourtracker.amgentourofcalifornia.com/

Stage 7 this Saturday looks like it would be fun to catch:
