UGANDA. Karamoja. 1958. Situated about 50 miles north of Kotido is Kaabong, centre of the Dodoth tribe, traditional enemies of the Jie and "paternal cousins" of the Karamojong tribe. George and Jinx RODGER's visit here was a "good excuse to have a party". The Dodoth wear fancy hairstyles, beads and jewellry every day of the week. The men and women dance by jumping high in the air, and perform mock charges with spears. 1958.
