Tent Cots

Well, I had a chance to use the tent cots this weekend at Yosimite. Camped at Porcupine Camp at about 8500 feet, and it was 'butt cold'. The only problem we encountered was that the air moving under the cot tended to suck the heat right out of the sleeping bag.

I was thinking that a thermarest might be the solution to add some insulation. Any other ideas?

Other than that, the tent cots sure do make camping civilized. So much easier to keep clean, and all of the pockets on the inside are nice for storage. Cool product.

The thermarest does indeed do the trick.

I used my tentcot in Death Valley over the Thanksgiving holiday last year, and it got down to 30F where we made camp.

The tent was nice and warm. My problem was the condensation on the inside of the tent dripping on my face every now and then.

Ho,
I remeber the conversation, just wanted to test the waters to find the 'optimal elegant' solution.

LOL. That pic is just ugly. Even uglier than how I felt that morning.
