door lock and opener handles

On my 96 Disco, the power locks still work however on both the front passenger and read drivers side doors the pull tab apparently does not go up far enough to allow neither the inside nor outside door handles to open the doors. Have you had similar problems and how did you fix? Add springs? rubber bands? Please advise, thanks!

Good question. My rear driver side door is like that. The door lock knob won't go up (unlock) with the key, the remote, or from the dash lock/unlock button. The only way the door will open is from the inside, then the knob will go up until it's pushed down (not with key, remote or dash button). Something in the door is broken, I'll have it looked at next service appointment.
