Well, wasn't there only one DXer there?

I thought that KI6BCA was the only one.

I stand corrected, and even though Greg didn't yet have his call, it's still more than Jack has.

Actually, you're not corrected. Greg's license wasn't valid last weekend, as his call wasn't reflected on the FCC database until after the weekend. No reflection, no license. No license, no amateur privileges.

John is correct.

I've been wanting to join the nerds, er, cool kids but haven't been motivated to get my license. With RR6 coming up I figured it was time so started studying previous weekend and took exam after work Thursday.

To further motivate/celebrate bought a Yaesu VX-7R. Looking at mobile units for the RRC now.

You need a hat with your name and call sign first.

yes, yes I do. But, not as much as that pink shirt deserves to be thrown away.

Personally, I have never seen a clear cotton shirt before. So the weekend was full of firsts. First time to ride in a disco, see a clear pink cotton shirt, Tech license...

All he needs is the Billie Holiday microphone and his ham license perma-plaqued onto the windshield.
