Wiring aux. lights

First off, I'm glad to be here.

Now, to the question. I have an '01 DII and I'm preparing to wire up 2 rear lights (the little round Hellas) and would like them to be operable independently of the switch position on the truck.

Do I need the momentary switch like the front fogs or the on/off switch like the cruise control?

BTW, I know damned little about wiring.

Thanks in advance,
Stu

The momentary switches work through to truck's computer. There are switch systems that you can wire into the circuit that reportedly will still allow the use of the momentary switch. PITA. Use the on/off switch.
