The caption for that pic is funny:

Land Rover Defender - Land Rover
Land Rover Defender on Classic 1955 Expedition. Land Rover
In terms of vehicles that conjure images of exploration and adventure, has there ever been a more iconic model than the classic Land Rover Defender? The first edition of this off-road vehicle rolled off the assembly line in the U.K. back in 1948, and for 67 years it has remained a mainstay of travel in remote places. But at the end of 2015 the company will cease production of the 4x4, marking an end of an era for a vehicle that has literally gone to the ends of the Earth

I hate how this idiot can't get the names straight.

First he calls all the Series trucks "Defenders", then he corrects himself and says that the Defender name appeared in 1983.

Wrong again, moron.

Medical staff with 34 Field Hospital of the Army Medical Services transport a mock casualty to hospital during a training exercise.

Nearly 100 tri-Service medical staff are currently deployed on the outskirts of York in a full Field Hospital set up. Most of the soldiers are from 34 Filed Hospital who are based in Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Strensall. They were practising the set up similar to the Camp Bastion set up in Afghanistan albeit on a smaller scale and in tents.

The medics were working through a number of scenarios with other medical staff, local soldiers and amputees from 'Trauma Effects' acting as injured people. The casualties arrived on foot, by military ambulance and even from a Lynx Helicopter.

The Exercise was being overseen by medical staff from 2 Medical Brigade who are also based in Strensall.

Army Battle Field Ambulances (BFA) unloaded from a RAF C17 aircraft that had just arrived in Sierra Leone, in support of Operation Gritrock, the UK's response to combating the Ebola virus.

The Land Rover battlefield ambulance is based on the TUM chassis. It has a capacity for a combination of up to four stretchers or six seated casualties and provides a very high standard of medical facilities. It is also air portable and meets amphibious requirements.

RAF nurse up for award.

Pictured is Sergeant Hayley Vendyback who is a member of the Medical emergency response team (MERT) based in the hospital on Camp Bastion Afghanistan. Hayley, 28 from Leicester joined the RAF as a nurse in 2000. Her job involves flying as a team of four into the front line to collect casualties and extract them back to the Bastion hospital, providing life saving treatment to stabilise them in flight.
