F650 Riding

John,

It's been awhile. How's the 650 doing? The winter kept me to my daily commute- but now that the sun is warming things up - I'm getting around the DMZ again. Touratech is about to get some of my taxed dollars. Have you seen the new H2P on advrider? - very nice and looks functional - I think I'll hang on to the 650. Any more mods to your bike?

Brian in Seoul.

We're trying to get him out, but his is very resistant!

I'm even looking into buying a KTM 640 Adv so that he will have no excuses.

I've got my name on the short list list for the HP2...

Brian,

I haven't ridden at all since the Mojave Road trip a while back.

I'm glad you're riding though. You must be quite a sight to see riding through Korea on that Dakara. LOL.

Aaron showed me pics of that new HP2. It's too beaucoup for me. Too armageddon.

You'd be surprised what you see riding around here. There is a popular highway from Seoul to the uppper east coast that is frequented by bikers. Harleys, Goldwings, K1200's and yes the GS1150. I've even seen a barely street legal KTM. Spent 12 hours in the saddle this past Saturday - it's like a drug. Spent eight hours in the Rover the next day on trails. Life is grand.

I've been in Korea too long. I stopped in for a coke in a town way back in the mountains and distinctly heard the "country" accent. I nearly laughed at the "Ahh-G-Ma" but just enjoyed her politenesss - something you don't get much of in Seoul. I hate Seoul.

Keep safe and keep the greasy side down.

Brian

P.S. Did you ever get a copy of the "Long Way Around"? Heard the UK is running a T.V. series on it - though I think they spend most of the time focusing on their antics rather than the "ride".

Koreans on Harleys? Would these guys be "Charley Davidsons" then?

I haven't seen "Long Way Around" out on DVD yet, but frankly I haven't kept an eye out for it either. But if I happen across it, I'll probably buy the DVD or DVDs.
