I'm not on sure the roof rack and ladder for my Mk3. The rack and ladder are very sweet, but I think I'm inclined to have my Mk3 be a street machine. I'm not sure yet.

The windshield repair guy we use was here the other day to fix some damage on Sheki's windscreen and he said that he once inadvertently broke the side window on a Mk3 while using a dent pusher and it was laminated windshield glass.

That's kick ass. I checked Land Rover USA's site and the site says the side windows are "acoustic laminated windshield glass" for a quieter ride. I'm guessing only the front side windows are windshield glass, but I'm far from sure about that.

That makes the Mk3 very suitable for Armageddon. Windshield glass is a surprisingly good barrier to gunfire. Bullets will still sail through but are slowed down and mangled to a surprising degree by windshield glass. If you're retreating just roll up the windows and haul ass. If you're armed and shooting back, roll down the windows to give you room to shoot and also to make the doors less susceptible to gunfire.

The Mk3 is no armored car, but it ain't no Bentley either.

Yeah, it's hideous.

Even their most recent effort doesn't come close to an MK3;

It figures, since the Bentley is owned by VW since late 90's.

Ok, I am in... This will be the first loto ticket I have ever purchased!

The MKIII would be for Stephanie. She has always wanted one. (though I would not mind driving one at all).

Ok I say we cap this at 38 shares.

I don't want to win and be anything less than a millionaire.

That would be one bullshit lotto experience.

Jack, don't be greedy.

I just spoke to Bill Davis @ GBR. He's in for $20. I'll buy Bill's tickets this afternoon.

LR better get on it with an H&H or better yet Linley MkIII or I'm not going to have anything to spend my Lotto winnings on.

The Westminster isn't doing it for me and it doesn't seem available on the LR-USA website anyways.

OK, just spoke to Pendy.

Jim is in for $20. I'll buy his tickets this afternoon.

First Ho, then me, then Bill, and now Jim. It seems the life of a Land Rover vendor is a sad one. We need the California Lotto to give us hope.

If we win, you could get this:

ok. definitely going buckingham blue micatallic. the navy interior kind of intrigues me, i don't think i've ever seen it in person. in combination with the dark blue exterior, it might be a blue overload. you can also only get the wood trim in cherry with that combination and i really dig the walnut, that could be a deal breaker. maybe i'll just get one of each. then again, when we order 30 of them they'll probably do whatever we want.

....and as much as john thinks the entertainment system is for the havasu crowd, i'm getting it. it will make my life that much more tolerable on trips with the little ones - (95,250.00, minus tax and licensing of course).

I totally understand why you would want the DVD system for the kids. When I said the entertainment thing was degenerate, I should have been more clear. I meant it was degenerate for adults.

Peep this Special Air Service Rangie:

That ain't no Bentley. Love the Rostyles.

As we all know you don't need all the numbers to win something.

I propose that if any and all tickets hit for any amount less than a combined total of $1,000.00 US. that the money be reinvested back in for more loto tickets and so on until we either hit big or go home broke and Range Roverless...

Sound good?

Rob
