moon watch

i am thinking about buying an omega moon watch{steel back}.i am just starting to look and getting a bit confused...seeing prices from
3k for a new one to 1500.00 for a slightly used one...can anyone give me some advise?

They are great watches, and the Omega threads on this board will give you more detail than you could ever want.

Not sure about your prices.

Shop around. Omega has a "retail price" set my Omega, but most authorized dealers will take 20% off the retail price. I think retail for the Moon Watch is $3000.00. When I was in St. Thomas in May, the best deal I could find was $2500.00. I have a local dealer, The Gold Shop, who offered the Moon Watch to me for $1850.00. At that time (about 1.5 years ago) that price could not be touched by anyone, or at least they were not willing to go that low. I'm not sure if The Gold Shop's prices are just that great, of if the shop owner was cutting me a deal for the work I did for his family prior.

Either way you go, be sure to buy from an authorized dealer of Omega. There is a lot of shady crap going on out there.
