Shotgun

Need some help here. I few years back I received my grandfather Ithaca Model 51 Featherlight shotgun. It's a 12ga semi-auto. The gun sat in a gun case under his bed for at least 15 or so years and never moved. Needless to say, the barrel is shot. Pitted, rusted, just nasty looking.

I tried to strip the bluing off, which was easy. Also, a lot of the rust came off with it, but the pitting is pretty bad in places. So, I think I need to just replace the barrel. Only problem is, I cannot find one. Does anyone know where I can get a barrel for this gun?

Also, I need to know the name of a part that's missing. It's the little "pull tab" that attaches to the action that you use to cock and chamber the gun.

Here is a drawing of the gun

I know the gun probably is not worth a lot, *maybe* $300 or $400.00 in good condition. But, it's one of those "my grandfather gave it to me" kind of things.

If you look below the price, it says it's sold out.

I was able to get the charging pin from a local gun dealer. Still, no luck on a barrell....

While I was in there a Browning Citori caught my eye. It was a consignment gun and looked flawless. It was a GTI, gold letter, 30", very stright stock. He had $900.00 on the gun. Anyone know much about this gun?

Information sought: this gun case

A buddy of mine came upon this case. It looks to be for a shotgun, but that's all I've got. It has no markings indicating the manufacturer.

Do any of you have any idea if this is from a particular gun maker? I suppose it could be a generic case.

I dug up this old thread because I didn't want to clutter up Less than 30 days.

Thanks.
