I have a few people that wanted my Disco that are likely interested. Although I will say that the 5-Speed seemed to be a key factor.

I ordered an additional bracelet link. Should be here Monday. Even adjusted out it did not fit my wrist.

The GMT arrived today and it was well cared for. Happy with the purchase.

Now I am looking at a SINN. I suppose watches are much like guns—you can't have just one.

John deserves most of the credit.

He had good advice on what GMT was the best blend of classic design and daily wear durability. Initially I was leaning heavily towards a new Batman, but he pointed out a few styling and design aspects that taint the newer models. My one deviation from his recommendation was towards the black bezel. The Pepsi is certainly more pure.

Coincidentally, we are featuring Tom Sheppard's crossing of the Sahara in the winter issue. The images are fantastic. That ad takes the Rolex love a little deeper.

I like the 556 on the NATO strap, but I honestly am a neophyte on this brand of watch. The 556 could be the P38 of SINNs.

The EZM looks good as well.

I like the Sinns, but they don't get me excited like other watches.

For a really plain watch, I like this:

Nice looking watch. I was looking at getting a Rolex a few years ago. Got married instead.

I seem to recall an article or somesuch years back (maybe with the pic of you sitting in a boat?) where you mentioned that you didn't like watches and/or rarely wore them. Times have changed, I guess?

I think I remember the article you are referring to, although it was a discussion about what inspired me to start wearing an analog watch again. That was 2009, and I have worn a watch of some variety since then- mostly the Traser watches.

You can see the Traser in the image you reference. Panama, 2009

Yes, that's the one I was thinking of.

Interesting article.

I guess you're not a true communist badass until you've lit a Cuban cigar while sitting in the Kremlin in front of Nikita Khruschev while wearing a Day-Date AND a Submariner on the same wrist.
