Congrats!

My D2 turned over 100k coming back from the Nat'l Rally.

Nice pics, especially that last one.

70K? That's still a baby! OK, maybe a toddler. But that was a great way to celebrate!

Your truck has seen some interesting trails in it's first 70,000.

Looks like a fun trip.

I am glad to have shared many of them with you!

It was a great trip, I think it may become an annual family thing.

Aaron,

Great trip. Looks like you went down Lippencot and over to the springs? You would think with all the time I spend out at the Saline I would recognize the couch with the view of the Inyos. It looks like it's down at the lower springs. Which way did you go out? South Pass? Steel Pass? Great pictures.

We went in on Saline Valley Rd through Jackass Canyon (is that considered South Pass?). We had planned on some day trips but ended up not moving once at the Lower Springs and yes, that is where the couch is located. Our trip out included Lippencot and Hunter Mountain.

If you went in near Darwin that is the South Pass also called the Grapevine, never heard it called Jackass Cyn. There is an area near the North Pass called Jackass Flat If you entered near Big Pine you came in the North Pass. Great trip either way.

Yeah, we came in from the south (190). The South Pass had 12-18 inches of snow and was a bit slippery but very passable. Hunter Mountain had a lot more snow and was challenging but passable.

Not too many tackle Hunter after a snow storm, many track from other vehicles on Hunter?

There were tracks... but not many and all very fresh (within a day or so) which was a week after the last storm had rolled through.
