Omega Seamaster 300

What if Omega decided not to axe the Seamaster 300 from the 60's and 70's, and it was still available to this day? Just like the Speedmaster Pro which hasn't changed much since it was released. In my opinion, it would be highly successful alongside the Speedmaster. It's an iconic design and still absolutely gorgeous to this day. The Planet Ocean just doesn't do it, even though the case, hands and dial mirror some vintage Omega dive watch elements. So, would you guys buy one?

Another one that didn't survive

I'm actually in the camp that appreciates the NLA aspect of the 300M Seamaster pictured above. If in current production, like some things, they'd become mainstream. There are enough vintage pieces out there to make finding one a relatively easy experience. And when it lands, you've got something unique.

Great shots of yours, love that domed acrylic and applied markers.

Maybe if Omega decided to get rid of the hideous HeV on the Planet Ocean it would be more appealing. It's like having a huge mole on your face. The PloProf 1200m has the flush valve, why not use it on the Planet Ocean?

Here are some cool shots of Bond wearing the infamous "Bond Strap" on his Big Crown Sub

the colors are way off on the modern "Bond Strap"

also note that the strap Bond is wearing appears to be about 14mm or 16mm width...

I'be watched Goldfinger about fifty times and had never noticed the red piping on the strap.

Also, it's a one-piece strap. NATO straps weren't around back then.

Those photos do not appear to be the NATO style strap.

And while the keeper seems different, these are available from Broadarrow.net. The colors seem correct.

Or the NATO style:

Did you guys ever catch the Rubber B? What a POS

Look at the douchebags in the ads

And to make it worse, they think that just because this rubber strap salvages the oyster bracelet clasp, they can charge you a ridiculous price.

What a crack-up. That reminds me of this TAG Aquaracer stupid shit:

Same stupid pose. Same ugly ass watch. Same carefully crafted two-day growth on the facial hair that's trying so hard to look careless and fails miserably.

This is as hilarious as Rolex picking up TAG's table scraps when TAG dropped that douchebag Tiger Woods. Why would Rolex ever want to copy a copycat company TAG?

Heuer needs to divorce Tag. If you can walk into Macy's and buy a "Tag," it's no good... The Monaco reissue was the shit. No "Tag" in sight... The way it should be...

Corvus Watch sells the "real Bond" strap in the authentic color scheme from the film. Old news here, but the early grey based "Bond" straps came before HD screen shots by fans identified the real colors of the strap.

I liked this one one:

I've always wanted a Monaco and got excited when TAG released that one. But it was crazy expensive so I stopped looking.

It appears that they were embarrassed about the movement and decided to put a solid back on the watch to cover it up.

Daniel Craig has been a big vintage Rolex guy, but had to wear Omega for the 007 films. Looks like he now is wearing a vintage Omega SM300.
