Can you imagine some 110-lb stewardess cranking out a magazine on full auto from that?

I forwarded that Stoner video to my friend, Ken, who became a SEAL in the late 70s. He had this to say:

Quote:
Going to have to say the video did a nice job of articulating the Pros/Cons of this system.

I was the armorer for our Platoon. I was able to convince Crane to send me (6) 63's. Talked to Viet Nam era guys who deployed with these weapons. Learned the idiosyncrasies of what you can do to keep these things going. Had all of them running like sewing machines. Set Gas ports at medium cyclic rate (800 rpm?) At night it seemed like you were simply pointing a red laser at the threats when they lit off, every 5th round being a tracer. Stupid easy to mow targets inside 300 yds with a look down shoot down apprach. All of our systems were box / belt fed.

I carried 1 box of 150 rounds on the weapon
3 boxes on my right side
1 customized pouch on my left thigh with 3 belts of 150 rds connected.

I dig it. I think it's going to be a winner.

I'm not that knowledgeable on precision rifles but I keep reading articles about this gun and it seems to be really innovative. The price is pretty amazing too. American Rifleman wrote that it will probably retail at around $1,100 (that's under the MSRP). That's pretty cheap for a gun that's good to go with an optic and a bipod.
