John,

Don't feel bad. You know you have the best bling. What caliber is that HK and what kind of scope? Leica?

That rifle is an HK300. Here's a page on the HK300:

http://www.hkpro.com/hk300.htm

It's chambered for .22 Mag.

The telescope is an old beater Kahles that came off my friend's Neptun drilling. Here's a little better view of the scope:

That Kahles, like a lot of German telescopes, is fitted with a dovetail-shaped rail that eliminates the need for scope rings. The HK05 quickly-detachable mount has a female dovetail that mates with the male dovetail rail on the Kahles.

I prefer a more simple approach in both firearms and watches...

Yeah,

Your right, but I'd eat a pile of termites before I'd ingest the mess that pistol would make of an animal...

I think I'd like to get a long gun at some point, but I am not quite sure what I want. It will most likely be bolt or lever action, though.

Cheers,

Kennith

If that Single Action Army is chambered for .45 Colt, you're fine. Any handgun isn't that powerful, and .45 is in the lower range of power.

I would recommend a lever action over a bolt. A bolt action with that set-up would look weird. Perhaps a lever action in .30-30 or even chambered for something to match your SAA? That might be nice.

You also need a knife to go with that combo. This one is nice:

(Shameless plug, since EE is now a Cold Steel dealer. )

Yes,

It's chambered 45 Long Colt. My problem is the availability of quality ammunition where I live. I can only pick up cowboy action loads around here, but I'd like to get some of this explosive ammunition I saw at the NRA convention. I just forgot who makes it.

I was actually thinking of having them chambered alike, Not only would it be convienient, but also pretty cool.

No plug about the knife, I wasn't aware you sold Cold Steel now. I have always loved their products, and that knife rocks. Now I'm going to have to check the products page.

Cheers,

Kennith

Oh, be that way. By the way, do you know of any other good cartridges besides the Hornaday Frontier in 45LC?

Cheers,

While I was snapping some pics of the Mod70 I remembered this thread, so I dug it up and I'll do my best to make everyone cringe.
Oh the horror:

Now the question is, what is the ultimate watch to go with my glock/benchmade/surefire triple alliance?

Besides the obvious:

I'm thinking this yells out for that Bell and Ross:

Or maybe the Breitling New Pluton that I've been wanting to recapture...

Ron, I just picked up that exact watch, logo-less and all. I went with the rubber wristband however.
Great watch, helluva price and easy to read at night (unlike my others).
