Congrats Han, the white '04 is a sweet ride.

I've gotta disagree on the LR3, though. With the IFS/IRS/Electrical gizmo issues aside, I think the LR3 has an ugly rear on it.

Hey Guys,

I am a Rover Salesperson/Enthusisast. I am NOT trying to sell you anything. I just would like to see people who like Disco's get Disco's instead of people who just want discounts on a Rover to get the last of the 2004's. Since I don't live in California I thought I would help out any of you out there trying to get a deal on an '04 Disco. The route to go is to purchase a demo/service loaner. Here is the breakdown:

$3800 dealer incentive for loaners
$5000 for NOT using the 0%, 0.9%
$3000 Original Profit margin
You should be able to pick up an '04 for somewhere around $9-10k under MSRP. Good Luck

That is pretty much correct:

I bought my '04 S model for $26,500. Sticker was $36,700.00
It was a dealer loaner with about 4k miles.

Get while the gettin's good cause it won't last!

For similar money, I guess you can buy a well equipped CRV as well.

You can have mine...they have been in the garage since March 27th of last year...third day of ownership. Ugly things. Land Rover even sent me a travel wallet congratulating me on the successful 'wart removal'...well they claim it's an aniversary present but I know what we're really celebrating.

Wake Up This Thread for '04 Opinions

Guys, looking at a 2004 Disco II, SE and want the 6 spoke rims. Will keep it mostly stock as a daily driver (right...)

Can some of you who got the 04 itch last year give me some feedback on your experiences so far? Word on the street in 05 was the 04 represents the best of the DII crop. That holding true?

Thanks in advance....

I think the 04 is the best of the D2's. It has the stronger engine, brighter headlights, and more soundproofing than the earlier D2's. The 04 also has the black interior trim; the pre-03's have the Ash Grey interior trim. The 03 has the same stuff as the 04 and has nicer roof rails, but it doesn't have the factory CDL. So the 04 is my vote for a D2.

The six-spoke rims are also my favorite of the various 16" alloys available. There's also a nice six-spoke 18" alloy available. The 18" six spokers look different from the 16" version, but they also look very nice. If it's going to be a stocker street machine, I'm basically indifferent between the 16" and 18" six spokers.

A stocker 04 with the six-spoke alloys fitted and fender flares removed would be very nice. Change out the roof rails to the 03 pattern if you're inclined and it would be even nicer.

Are the 03 roof rails thinner than the 04 rails or is it the other way around?

The 04 has the Xterra-like chubby rails. The 03 rails look just like the older rails.

An '04 with the thin rails... or an '03 with CDL.
