Did you guys watch Iron Chef America last night? Bobby Flay got his ass handed to him. I was cracking up big time.

I assume you're talking about Rick Bayless. He has two restaurants in Chicago: Frontera Grill and Topolobampo in Chicago. They're upscale Mexican restaurants. I've only been to Frontera Grill, but it is really good. There's no substitute for a freshly made corn tortilla.

They're the same place Mike! In the same building. Topo is much better though.

John,
I watched it and could not have been more pleased with the outcome. Ming actually prepared a meal. A couple of starters, main course, and dessert in the tradition of the original I. C. The best bobby could come up with was what amounted to a tasting.

So here's the big question, how many battles can an Iron Chef loose before they find a new I.C.?

Who knows what Bobby Flay will do. He might even mature and become a great chef some day. But for now I think he is so overrated.

Flay reminds me of Charlie Trotter to an extent with his tastings. It would be interesting to see the two paired off in kitchen combat. I would say the safe money would be on Trotter though. Better execution and more creative, albeit conservative fusion.

Dirk should do a cameo on Galactica. Not like he's in high demand these days after his A-Team hey day.

That would be cool. Richard Hatch was on the new show, so it would be cool if Dirk Benedict appeared as well.

I'm digging the new Battlestar Galactica series. Thus far every episode has been top notch. At this rate, the show could be better than Star Trek TNG. Time will tell.

I don't have the SciFi channel. Nor Am I calling the cable company to get it either. I got broadband/digital home phone and they botched the install in my favor - free basic cable.

But I am dying to see this show. The Galactica Website is really well done.

Question,

If memory serves me correctly, the origanl Cylon ship sat three Cylones in a 1 over 2 combination. The Cyclon helmets had the side to side red light switch, not the ship itself, which was oval in shape. Am right?

Question 2, have they shown a Cylon yet? Do they have that cool helmet and battle armour? That was the coolest!

Anyone with a dvd let me know...

I used to crack up at the old Cyclons because their rifles had a bayonet affixed to the muzzle. Only the US Army and Cyclons could fit a bayonet on a self-loading repeater with high magazine capacity.

Can someone recommend a good chiropractor?

Morimotosan's back must be killing him after carrying Flay like that.
