Dammit! I'm jealous...Where exactly did you go?

Looks like the DV carnage is fixed. Nice going!

Where along the Sea of Cortez?

I'll be making a trip down to San Felipe in July, may go further down to the Bay of Gonzanga.

You know I must be bored at lunch time. For some odd reason these pictures got the juices going and I decided to butcher this Procol Harum classic.

We skipped the light fandango,
turned doughnuts' cross the sand.
I was feeling kind of sea-sick,
the disco called out for more.
The engine was humming harder,
as the hood flew away.
When we called out for another drink,
the waiter opened the englel.

And so it was that later,
as the bandito told his tale,
That her paint at first just ghostly,
turned a whiter shade of pale.

She said there is no reason,
and the damage is plain to see.
But I wandered through my manual,
and would not let her be.
One of sixteen vestal valves,
who were fouling at the coast.
And although my eyes were open,
the engine might just be toast.

And so it was that later,
as the bandito told his tale,
That her paint at first just ghostly,
turned a whiter shade of pale.

And so it was that later ....

-Rob lol, how lame.

My personal favorite is the one of Elvis. He's sad and there's a little tear trickling down his cheek.

John,
You know I took that photo expressly for you.
I can just see you luxuriating on your elephant rug watching Boddington on Buffs (that is if you ever get it back).

Ho called that "The Big Five of Mexico". I like that.

Craig,

Are you asking me about the radio itself or the install?

That FT2800M is one big ass radio. IT was a real pain to get it into that spot and I didn't quite cut the moulding as perfectly as I would have liked. Luckily I have a spare at the shop so I think I'll have another go.

That 2m mobile did perform flawlessly. Range with the diamond antenna and 65watts was amazing.

And you'll be pleased to know I'm studying for the exam...

BAM

Why did you mount the entire radio up there?

well lah-dee-dah.
listen mr. remote face, not everyone goes in for that gimmicky business.

some of us need only two qualifications:
-Yaesu
-MilSpec 810

I also don't like transmission tunnel mounting.
If you've got your radio under your seat or some such and then a remote face that's cool, but if it's one unit I like it up by the dome.
