Tamiya Models

Hey, Tamiya Models-that brings back some memories (no, not sniffing glue memories)!

Does EE plan on sticking to just Tamiya LR models? I've seen a few die cast metal models that look pretty nice. Any plans on expanding offerings to other LR models?

Greg, I just knew you were a modeler. It's pretty easy to tell who built models in his youth and who didn't.

Right now we're probably going with only Tamiya but who knows what the future will bring. I already ordered some Verlinden detail kits to accompany the Tamiya Land Rover kits. Italieri used to sell a Pink Panther kit, but that kit must be discontinued now because I don't see it in the Italieri catalog.

Both Tamiya and Italieri also made kits for the famous SAS Jeep. Tamiya's kit appears discontinued. The Italieri kit is still available, so we might carry that. Actually, both the Tamiya Pink Panther and Rover 7 kits are currently discontinued. I don't know how long the supply of these kits will last.

There are definitely a few other Tamiya kits that I have to order, including the German Jerrycan set. Tamiya also makes some 1/35 scale military motorcycle kits so I might order those as well.

I am dying to get this Tamiya kit:

That R80 looks awesome. The kit is discontinued, but perhaps there will be a few floating around. And here's another superb but discontinued kit:

We'll see what happens.

"Greg, I just knew you were a modeler".

LOL-Yes, geekdom has a way of shining through no matter what age one is!

That SAS model (mini-diorama scene) is sweet! Very "Stirlingesque".
