grocery getter

the rewiring is complete and the MoD is back making the rounds to Trader Joe's and Costco.

Fun stuff to start soon.

I have to say it's nice to have it back in the driveway after so much time languishing at the shop while I didn't get anything done on it.

you know greg, it's real funny. just like you are thinking of it being a KTM hauler, i bet several people here have "similar" thoughts:

john is looking at it and thinking, "hmmm, jack could mount the 2m antenna on here, and the 10m antenna on there...." it could make a great mobile communication truck.

steve is probably thinking... "man, that truck could use some XZLs..."

etc. LOLOL

Absolutely. If you prefer XZL's, I'll trade you my five XZL's for those XL's, as I prefer the XL pattern.

hey Jack, those photos take me back to my time in the Mob. I must have driven half way round the world in those things. Noisy, slow, uncomfortable, too cold in winter too hot in summer, weak gearboxes, noisy, slow.......great fun.

Here's a poor quality pic, but you can see the cage I had made up in the pattern of the galvanised hoop set.

that's too funny.

when i first got it and i was chit chatting about what I was going to do with it, I was explaining that I wanted to "de-militarize" it without making it a civvie-wannabe. I described my vision as "the hans blix edition".

I was wearing a National Geo hat on the Rubicon and some Crawler types who rolled through while we were on the trail asked if we were shooting for the magazine.
I chuckled at the idea of a NG feature on "the 'con".
suprisingly, this roughneck get-r-done Krawler type said working for NG would be his dream job.
lol.

Why are you lying to everyone?

During the Ruby, you kept telling me about how "dope" the black metallic paint with gold flake was going to look with your gold Dayton rims. We all know your a wannabe homo thug, don't deny your inner calling.
