Motorcycle Packs

As a newbie to offroading with motorcycles I'm looking at fender packs, tool bags, etc. and looking for advice.

I realize that some of the posters here are riding a little more road-biased bike than I am and have different solutions than I am looking at. However, here's a couple possibilities I've been thinking about:

http://www.dirt-bike-gear.com/ballistic_bags.html

http://www.brapoffroad.com/tool%20bag.htm

Anyone?

Hey Greg,

I have a fender bag. I can't remember the make... it's small, good for a tube and tire irons (maybe a bit more). I was going to try to fit it to the GS but it just doesn't work well.

It's yours to check out, use, keep whatever... just pay the shipping.

Fender Bag

I don't use one on my F650 Dakar but you should try www.advrider.com. The have a BB setup just for that kind of question. Awesome website for ride reports, maintenance and modifications for BMW and KTM. Lots of other bikes - but the BMW and KTM dominate that website.

Hey thanks Aaron-I may take you up on that. I'm still thinking about options at this point. Another option may be the KTM LC4 tank and fender bags which are pretty big. However, I don't want to get too top-heavy or "loaded" on my "light" bike (~260 lbs dry and 15 in. ground clearance).

I did order Camelbaks for myself and my girls with some decent storage capacity plus 100 oz. water for me and 70 oz. for each of them. I can use them until I make up my mind.

It's really no problem. The next time I head down to EE I'll drop it off with John. You can pick itup anytime. Like I said I am not using it.

Yeah, it's gotten a bit big now... but it's still pretty darn cool.
