Don't do it Aaron... I bought him that book... If he can't find it he's S.O.L.

Well, here's the way I see it...

Since Jack is so certain of his position regarding amateur radio licensure he shouldn't even need to check this thread. BUT... not only did he check this thread, but he also posted in it. The fact that he's done so indicates to me a measure of self-doubt of his position regarding his licensure.

For those of you are going to attempt Element 1, Mike Rupp found a good CW trainer:

I'm not sure that I completely agree...

I do think Jack should have a license. But that is my value, he can do whatever he wants. Regardless... he is still part of the "crew" and thus I would expect him to check in on the active thread(s) on EE. I will still give him shit about not having a license... but that is why we are all friends isn't it?

But that's just me. What do I know. I have a "Holiday Inn" radio.

No, WE have Holiday Inn radios. LOL

I agree with your position about Jack's participation and checking in on active threads. Jack is not a bad person because he's not licensed. Irresponsible? maybe... but it's not an indictment of him personally.

I do think, however think his pokes and jabs would be more palatable and humorous if he were actually licensed. As it is it just sounds mean-spirited.

Even with a license Jack wouldn't be humorous.

Dunno. I may still get John's FT-60 (I know I know... it's soooo passe) Then get the 857T. Or I may just stick with the 208. I haven't really had time to think about it too much. I am still unwinding from the WFR class.

By the way... the WME WFR class was very "Post Ranch Inn", not at all "Holiday Inn".

Why stay at Vagabond Inn when you can put on the Ritz?

Go with the Icom 706 and T90.
