After destroying my last antenna (Diamond SG7500), I decided to go to a smaller, more flexible antenna.

That hamsexy site is just superb. I had no idea it was there but I just bookmarked it and plan to go back regularly.

Some of the stuff on hamsexy is lame given how much ham geekness there, but some of the stuff is hilarious. Like this one:

That is just cracking me up.

Would anyone be up for a lunch at Houston's following the test? There's a Houston's really close to TRW:

Depending on the results of your test(s), you may either cry in your soup or celebrate with a nice lunch.

BTW, Mike, I'm digging that antenna.

I was thinking that my Saturday might look something like this:

Early Morning: coffee and doughnuts to wake up and prevent stomach growl during the test

Morning: take Elements 1 and 3

Late Morning: check out the TRW swap meet

Early Afternoon: lunch at Houston's

Late Afternoon: Jun's or HRO or whatever

Thanks, when buying the SG7500 I didn't realize that it was silver. It was a little too fugly. This Comet SSB1 is pretty flexible which should hopefully get the job done. I just put it on the rack today. I'm still a little pissed about the mount. When mounting the antenna upright, it ends up being offset about 1" from center.

Well, we'll see what happens on Feb. 25th.

Just imagine going to lunch after the test with 12 other guys and they're all high fiving each other and you're the only sucka who failed.

Then you get the lame ass "don't worry about it" and "you'll get 'em next time" while your chicken tortilla soup is extra salty because of the flood of tears from your face.

Unpretty.

Bruno, that is sweet.

If you take the test now, you're basically guaranteed to pass.

I haven't even seen all the general questions yet. But I did move up in hamtestoneline ranking last night... from 1300 to 600.

Little by little...
