Well, that's what you get for the gold action.

Pimpitude has its price.

People with Italian in their blood, as well as Korean, fall prey all too often to the pimpitude.

That's a cool watch.

One hesitation I have is the leather strap, although that will not be as big a concern for you because you will have multiple watches and the leather will last longer as a result. I prefer the steel version though:

A second hesitation is that this watch borders on a complication. It's a chronograph diver with rotating bezel, date window, and helium escape valve. That's a lot. The only things it's lacking are a moonphase, day, month, and GPS.

Actually, on second thought, fuck that Planet Ocean Chronograph. If you want a chronograph, there's only one conceivable choice:

This is a real shitty teeter-totter. I dig the PO because of it's fugly presence. The leather calms it down a bit and removes the busy work that a dive watch shouldn't have.

The SS version of the PO is just too busy. In that case it might as well include a HAM reciever in that list of accessories.

The Moon Watch is what it is. It's fine with either a velcro, SS, or leather strap (non-Aligator).

Fugly is good. Embrace it.

You've got the "conventional" watch already. A GMT2 with Oysterlock is kick ass conventional.

Yuck it up on the next one.

Remember, when someone looks at your watch and thinks it's a pile of shit, that's when you KNOW you made the right call.

If you're into the lightweight thing, there's always:

but for some, titanium and carbonfiber is just too much, but it is an amazing watch.

Aaron, Staint Cross in Koreatown is also an IWC dealer. You can scope out an IWC when you're buying your Oyster Pro. Rolex. IWC. Vacheron Constantin. Omega. Jaeger-LeCoultre. Patek. Breguet. They got it all there. Just bring cash.

That IWC with the black nylon strap is certainly nice. But I'm not feeling it. The fancy nylon screams PRADA. That's gay.

The Baguette ain't doing it either. Breguet trying to make a sports watch screams ESCALADE.

I'm not so sure.

I, for one, would be very curious to know Koreatown type prices on this watch:

http://iwc.com/collection/collection...p?l=en&mid=407

Or maybe the deals are only on Rolex, because that's the volume buy for K-town?

I'm guessing that list on the IWC Pilot's Chrono is around $4,500.
Right in the ballpark of the Sub.

It looks like all sorts of shady interweb vendors retail it for under 3K.

My guess would be Saint Cross sells that Pilot's Watch Chrono for high two's or $3k max.

Not bad at all for such a fine timepiece. Less than the price of a Blaser.

And Saint Cross is an authorized IWC dealer.

How is the nylon "fancy"?

Compared to every other offering that IWC has, this is certainly the simplest and most unassuming band. Now maybe if it had red stitching or some other prada-esque detail, I'd buy it, but that looks a lot like plain black nylon to me.

I'm digging that watch big time.
Plus it's a double chrono.

Cartier is "gay".
IWC is "gay".

?

Man, I'd wait till you have one of those Koreatown wedding dowry GMTs on your wrist before you start throwing that word around too much.

Oh shit!
That would be an awsome price for a legit purchase.

Because the replacement costs $300. That's what makes it fancy.
