They were not the result of focus groups or market research or some other such bullshit.

Both Heckler & Koch and Land Rover were premium companies that were eventually sold off to other interests who bought these premium companies in an effort to go legit. Unfortunately, the new owners knew nothing about offroading or shooting and so they fell back on tactics like market research and focus groups.

Both companies were traded off numerous times, so the situation got even worse. Now both companies produce mediocrity rather than excellence.

I ran across this while searing for Rangie stuff:

Cool versions of the Range Rover like this once existed. Do you think the Special Air Service has adopted any of the four current Range Rovers? How many Range Rover Fire Trucks do you think Special Vehicles puts out today?

This is what Speshul Veehickles puts out today:

Steve Tillack and Andrew Wills - 1960 Ferrari 246 Dino at the 2016 Goodwood Revival

The Ferrari 246 Dino had to be towed to the assembly road on this occasion, and in this photo you can see the work horse Land Rover that is used to help with the moving of cars around the paddock and surrounding areas. In some instances it is preferrable to keep the engine switched off rather than start it up only to have to turn it off again before it has chance to properly warm through.

I hate that noveau BoHo shit.

Nothing makes me more angry about this look then when these dumb chicks wear shade hats on the back of their heads like a yarmulke. It's even more annoying than the tribal jewelry and indigenous textiles.

It's fucking moronic. As is everything else about this stupid fake aesthetic.

I'm glad you're looking at hats, Jack. You need a good hat to go with your hairdo.
