Okay, so I finally made it to LA. So who's in for Sunday? Jack told me a positive yes, I know John's down... Aaron? You only have 3 days to say yes and then retract. What about Ho? He can certainly spare a few hours on a Sunday morning.

I'm excited to go.

I'm guessing dim ends around 1:00 or 2:00 p.m.

Sheki came by the shop last night and we hit Sharpshooter. David shot his Glock 19, Ho his P7, and I my P7 and P9. Sheki is a death machine.

So, we are on for this Sunday. Two questions:

(1) What time should we meet at Triple B?

(2) Would anyone else like to join us?

Me, a death machine?... far from it; however, I would trust John to shoot an apple off my head at 20 paces. He is fucking scary with a pistol.

So that must mean you'll end up coming, since you usually say you can come... than can't.

So it'll be:
Jack
Tom
John
Aaron
Sheki

Dave Lara phoned me today and started asking about shotguns. He wants a repeater and couldn't decide between a Beretta or Benelli.

I told him we were hitting the range on Sunday and invited him. He'll check with his wife and see if he's free on Sunday.

so what's the plan for Sunday, I know this will be around Jack's party schedule and 2 hour drive. I don't know where this place is so I'll need an address for the GPS.

Very excited about going and really looking forward to it.

A friend phoned and I am going to Redlands to him and his wife at the races. I will have a lot to do now on Sunday.

I have no idea when we're meeting. Jack?

Here's Triple B's site:

Punch the info into your ShekiNav.

That was awesome.

Here's a picture I snapped today of sheki getting ready to break some clays.

And david, I thought this pic would illustrate some more useful points about the trendy obsession with the word "tactical" to describe both weapons and shooting style:

To be truly tactical one needs camo duct tape.

Bayonets go at the end of a weapon, not survival knives.

Examples of both, equally tactical.......

PS: To add to the quality of the ductgun above, I'm pretty sure it's a Westernfield, Montgomery Ward's brand of firearms. Classy upgrades for a $40 mail order gun from the 50's-60's

It was certainly a good time. Anytime I need a room cleared I'll hope David's on the West Coast

I wouldn't knock that Montgomery Ward shotgun too much. I have a Sears and Roebuck 16ga very similar that that gun above. I don't know what it is about the gun, but I love it. I also own a Ithaca Featherlight 12ga my grandfather gave me a few years back and a Benelli semi-automatic 12ga. 8 times over 10, I reach for the 16ga for bird hunts. It's such a POS gun, but it works. Never had a jam or a single problem out of it. The thing is easily 50-years old, and personally I've shot it over 3000 times in the 10-years I've owned it. My father owned it before I did, and some guy named R. Davis had it before that (his name is scratched into the action). They're very simple for a pump, yet, very reliable.
