bruno,

there's an icom 7000 in any MKIII's future. i think the icom 7000 / MKIII duo is a very appropriate combo.

the 03-04 MKIII's don't have aux a/v inputs. i don't know about the newer models. isn't yours an 06? if yours has the aux input from factory... just go online, search ICOM 7000 and click "buy"

This is a great product and we're very happy to have it in our product line.

Love the "Latitude" section of the magazine with the miscellaneous offroad porn shots.

For me, the playmate of the month is the rear shot of the two guys on bikes in Bolivia checking out the storks and mountains. What a shot!

Love their equipment too. The TT39 650 GS is sweet. The patches on their riding jackets are too cool.

I look forward to more porn shots in future issues.

That MKIII's IC 7000 video output is the "cat's meow". Nice job Han.

I finished reading OJ last night. It was very good. I read very few magazines from front to back. I can't remember the last time I did that.

Found some other typos while I was reading.

Page 40: "Above: Without the lock, the hasps are low profile and have minimal affect on the appearance of the vehicle."

Page 72: "Tread Lightly! focuses on education as a means to proactively protect recreation access as well as the environment."

This one I'm not sure about:

Page 29: "Not gone as in running away, but gone as in a 60-mph spring after a lechwe doe."

Is a female lechwe properly described as a "doe"? I'm far from sure on this one. "Lechwe doe" just sounds weird to me. I had always thought that a female lechwe was a "ewe" and a male was a "ram", just as with the impala. Again, I really have no clue on this one. "Lechwe doe" just doesn't sound right though.

I'm not looking for these typos when I read. In fact, most of my reading is light skimming. But they just jump out at me. OJ is otherwise so excellent, I think it deserves some harder editing.

Paul, we're 99 percent subscription, with a very few retail outlets such as Expedition Exchange.

My issue arrived yesterday. A great magazine to say the least, I am on my way to reading it front to back, in between little league and the weekend household duties.

I agree with John on paper and cover quality and I did pick up a few typos myself. But otherwise an excelent first effort.

Your order did go through, so please advise if you do not receive the Journal in the next few days. I will send you out a replacement copy ASAP.

Mine arrived Friday (Altadena, not S.F., but at least the next Valley over).

Dammit! No love in the mailbox. Is Riverside on the edge of the known postal world?

Nice to know Aaron is sharing the misery.

Perhaps Riverside is one of those weird towns. We have a customer in Montana that always requests UPS 3rd Day. Turns out, if we send via UPS Ground, the package gets lost for several days.

For what it's worth, I just received my copy yesterday (Monday). I live north of San Francisco.

I will be going on a trip to the Black Rock desert this weekend, so I am trying to resist reading the magazine until then. I figure nothing would be more fitting then sitting out in the middle of the playa, flipping through Overland Journal. It's quite a test of self-discipline.
