The top flap on the exterior side pockets flips open to reveal their contents. Shooting requires eye protection, and glasses are often incompatible with very heavy items like ammunition. The ammunition can shift inside the bag and damage your shooting glasses. The exterior side pockets are perfect for carrying relatively delicate items such as shooting glasses.

A solid-brass frog clips into the leather shoulder strap and is easily plucked out of the shoulder strap to remove it from the bag if desired. The shoulder strap's solid-brass buckles are covered with Latigo Leather guards to prevent inadvertently scratching your weapon during use.
To adjust the shoulder strap, simply slide the leather guard away from the buckle, adjust the shoulder strap to length, and then slide the leather guard over the buckle.
With the leather guard covering the buckle, your weapon will touch only leather and not get scratched during use.
The shoulder strap is greatly adjustable for length, as it features two adjustment buckles. Two buckles are fitted to achieve a greater range of adjustment, so that the Devon Speed Bag will remain comfortable when worn over the shoulder or across the chest to suit different shooting applications.
