The adapters snap onto the metal frames, and then securely snap into the steel "hooks" of your factory wiper arms.
An exception is the SilBlade 21" Silicone Wiper Blade For Discovery Series II, which fits directly onto the Disco's proprietary wiper arms.
Defender 90 Station Wagons and NAS 110's require two 13" SilBlade 13" Silicone Wiper Blades up front, and one 13"SilBlade 13" Silicone Wiper Blade in the rear.
Not being blessed with such amenities as a glass rear window, the Defender 90 Soft-Tops require just two 13" SilBlade 13" Silicone Wiper Blades up front.
Discovery Series I's require SilBlade 18" Silicone Wiper Blades up front, and one SilBlade 14" Silicone Wiper Blade in the rear.
Newer model Range Rover Classics accept two SilBlade 18" Silicone Wiper Blades up front, and one SilBlade 18" Silicone Wiper Blade in the rear. If you have an older model Range Rover Classic without the hooked wiper arms, then the SilBlades will not fit your vehicle.
The Discovery Series II uses proprietary wiper arms that up to now required the fitment of Land Rover Genuine Parts wipers blades. The problems with this requirement were that the Genuine Parts wiper blades are very expensive to replace and require replacement often because they are made of rubber and deteriorate quickly.
SilBlade has now solved this problem for Disco2 owners by releasing the SilBlade 21" Silicone Wiper Blade For Discovery Series II.

We have assembled this kit for Disco2 owners who wish to have standard, non-proprietary wiper blades to facilitate finding replacements in the future or far away from home. Other owners wish to upgrade to wipers like the new FlexBlade wipers or other winter wiper blades. The wiper arms are Land Rover Genuine Parts for the Disco1 and fit perfectly on the Disco2. The EW19 includes both front wiper arms and two SilBlade Silicone 18" Silicone Wiper Blades.
Above is shown a Disco2 fitted with the EW19 Kit. The appearance differs slightly from the factory Disco2 appearance but a quasi-factory appearance is maintained because of the Land Rover Genuine Parts Disco1 Wiper Arms. Owners of the EW19 Kit may purchase blades at almost any auto parts supply shop around the globe.
As an alternative to the standard SilBlade wipers, there is the new FlexBlade all-weather wiper blade from SilBlade. The FlexBlade features a frame-less design for all-weather performance. Because there is no hollow frame to pack with snow and ice, the FlexBlades are eminently suitable for use in the most extreme weather conditions.
The FlexBlades look a little different from standard wiper blades, but attach to your wiper arms in the traditional fashion. Our 18" FlexBlade comes standard with the adapter necessary to fit the Disco1's and Range Rover Classic's wiper arms.
LR3 and RRS owners may now benefit from the performance of SilBlade wipers. The new 22" FlexBlades are a direct, drop-in replacement for the rubber Land Rover Genuine Parts wiper blades that come standard on the LR3 and RRS. Unlike the rubber wiper blades, the FlexBlades will not rot from exposure to the sun or to harsh weather conditions. Instead, they will provide a clean swipe for many years. Furthermore, the FlexBlades mimic the appearance of the LR3 and RRS factory wiper blades.
The FlexBlade also solves two major problems with the Genuine Parts rubber wiper blades. First, the Genuine Parts wiper blade features a steel hook at both ends. When the rubber blade material deteriorates, the hooks grind against the windshield.
The Genuine Parts wiper blades also feature a plastic frame that is too close to the windshield. When the rubber blade material deteriorates, the plastic frames will rub against the windshield.
Neither of these faults exists on the FlexBlades.

So SilBlade wipers will outperform your rubber wipers. What does this mean to you as an offroader?
SilBlade wipers are specially formulated to deposit a "molecular matrix" that causes water to bead up on contact with the windshield. The result is an improved view of the road ahead and other trail conditions. In addition, the same features that cause the water to bead up also help keep ice and snow from adhering to the glass. Note that Ho's rubber wipers have left a dirty streak across the viewing area of his windshield. Road driving during the rain can be very dangerous. Visibility, and thus reaction time, is reduced considerably. For actually cleaning the windshield of debris and stains, our favorite windshield washer fluid is the Land Rover Genuine Parts Screen Wash. Though pungent, this alcohol-based formula cleans road grime and dead bugs and de-ices windshields very well. The solution is very strong and is normally diluted in a 10:1 ratio with water in the summer months and a 4:1 ratio in winter conditions. Use the SilBead Window Treatment to prevent the accumulation of debris on your windshield and Screen Wash to clean off whatever debris inevitably forms on your windshield.
At the very least, a clean windshield will let you better enjoy the beauty and majesty of the Great Outdoors.
