Sunrise Productions Bill McGuire's Focus and Fire DVD (BMDVD) $60
Bill McGuire makes shooting look easy and smooth with
very little gun movement. In fact, Bill uses so little gun movement
that many have mistaken his technique for spot shooting when it is really
not. Bill's pre-mounted method of shooting with the face off the comb
is very simple and extremely easy to learn, and gives a wide view of
the target flight area. Bill's method stresses the importance of a good
plan for each target and efficient use of the eyes and hands before
and during the shot. In this video, Bill teaches you how to diagnose
any target presentation and develop a plan that will end with Xs on
your scorecard. Once you put Bill's method into use, you will have the
ability to hit any target you encounter. Sunrise Production's EYE-CAM
allows you to follow Bill's eyes and see where he first focuses on the
target. You will see the gun move to the target, the lead established,
and the shot taken. See what Bill
sees over the custom rib of his Krieghoff K-80 when Bill fires the shot. This presentation gives the viewer the best EYE-CAM footage
ever filmed. DVD format. 90 minutes. |

Sunrise Productions Dan Carlisle's Complete System for Successful Shooting DVD (DCDVD) $60
Remember the feeling you get when you
execute a shot perfectly, when seemingly without conscious effort everything
happens just right all by itself? It's as if your eyes and hands were
a single unit and the fluid movement of the gun to the target is in
perfect tune with your mind and body. Dan Carlisle, one of America's
top sporting clays shooters and instructors, has devoted years to understanding
the mechanics and science of shooting. Dan acknowledges that special
feeling as the shooter's ultimate reward, and calls it "the magic
in the moment". Dan has experienced a lot of magic moments in his
career, from his world records and Olympic medal to his many competition
wins in trap, skeet, sporting clays, and FITASC.
The long journey and countless thousands of targets he's shot have done
more than bring him a closet full of awards. They've crystallized his
instructional process to the point where he can teach just about any
shooter to better himself. In fact, Dan was voted Shooting Instructor
of the Year in 1999 by his peers. Dan teaches a system more practical
than theoretical. Dan's method blends basic geometry with speed to give
the shooter a formula for breaking targets. See
what Dan sees during the shot through Sunrise Productions’ exclusive
EYE-CAM, the most revolutionary wingshooting teaching tool ever developed.
With the EYE-CAM and slow motion, you will understand how you too can
break targets using Dan's methodology. DVD format. 90 minutes. |

Sunrise Productions Read the Line, Feel the Lead with Peter Blakeley DVD (PBDVD) $60
Successful shotgunning is a skill that
must be learned like any other skill. Anyone with normal physique, good
eyesight, and reasonable coordination can learn to become a good shotgunner.
It does, however, require systematic study and the ability to evaluate
accurately the variables of moving targets. Few of us are born with
the natural ability to calculate accurately the amount of forward allowance
required to hit Sporting Clay targets consistently, as the infinite
combinations of variables are too complex. For example, Peter demonstrates
why the lead required on a 40-yard crosser is three times (and not twice)
the amount of lead required on a 20-yard crosser. We may have a gun
that fits; we may have the mechanical skills; but if we don't get a
good "read" on the target, the wheels come off. Peter
Blakeley, shooting coach at the Dallas
Gun Club probably gives more shooting lessons than any other shooting
coach in the country. Over the years he has perfected a method of teaching
students how to understand the five things we must consider when shooting
a moving target: speed, distance, angle, trajectory, and target break-point.
This DVD covers a very logical and intuitive way to evaluate each of
these five things and apply it to each target. See what Peter sees during
the shot through Sunrise Productions’ exclusive EYE-CAM, the most
revolutionary wingshooting teaching tool ever developed, with additional
slow-motion coverage and commentary by Peter for each particular shot.
Of course, eventually you need to trust this accumulation of knowledge,
and more importantly, pull the trigger when the picture looks right
to you. In other words, read the line, feel the lead and you will achieve
success in your shotgunning. DVD format. 90 minutes. |

All of the shotgunning DVD's that
we sell feature Sunrise Productions' exclusive EYE-CAM. The EYE-CAM lets the
student see what the instructor sees when the instructor fires the shot. The
EYE-CAM illustrates better than any other teaching tool the proper flow and
timing of movements required to execute properly the sustained lead, swing-through,
and pull-away methods of obtaining forward allowance during wingshooting.
The EYE-CAM also illustrates better than anything else the instructor's hold
points and view points before calling for the target. The EYE-CAM is truly
the most revolutionary wingshooting teaching tool ever developed.
Contrary to popular belief, there
is nothing "instinctive" about shooting in general, or about shotgunning
in particular. Shotgunning is a skill that must be learned and practiced,
just like any other skill. Successful shotgunning requires systematic study
and the ability to evaluate accurately the variables of moving targets and
obtaining the proper forward allowance on those moving targets. Successful
shotgunning also also requires proper equipment.
Successful shotgunning is a blend
of skilled shooter and effective gun. Both are elemental and without both
there can be no success.

The shot charge does not move
at light speed and leading the target is required to obtain a hit. All of
the Sunrise DVD's cover the different methods of obtaining lead. Learn how
the perceived lead changes at various angles, though the mathematical lead
may remain constant. Learn why the lead required on a 40-yard crosser is three
times (and not twice) the amount of lead required on a 20-yard crosser.
Proper gun fit is a sine qua
non of successful shotgunning, as the shooter's master eye is effectively
the shotgun's rear sight. All of the Sunrise DVD's cover proper gun fit and
how to achieve it.

Learn how to confirm proper gun
fit using the pattern plate at 16 yards. When patterns are not centered, learn
how much the buttstock must be adjusted to achieve the desired point of impact.
Most Sporting Clays is usually
shot "low gun", meaning the weapon is not mounted to the shoulder
before calling for the target. All of the Sunrise DVD's cover proper gun mount,
as well as hold points and look points for various target presentations.

Proper choke selection is critical
to successful shotgunning. These DVD's will help you choose the proper choke
for your particular application, whether it be skeet, sporting clays, or hunting. George Digweed's Guide to Perfection in Sporting Clays covers why George
shoots full chokes for all targets at all ranges, and why he feels choke selection
is not important. Other instructors and champion shooters do not agree,
and many favor a light-modified choke for their sporting clays shooting.
Bill McGuire and Andy Duffy, for
example, do their shooting with light-modified and explain in their instructional
DVDs why they rarely change out chokes to something else.

Sporting Clays has a greater variety
of target sizes and colors than any other shotgun game. All of the Sunrise
Sporting Clays DVD's cover the various targets and which methods, loads, and
chokes work best on each target.

Both the double and repeater action
types work very well. This Krieghoff K-80 and Benelli M1 Super 90 Field are contrasts in style, and have their relative advantages
and disadvantages. Read the Line, Feel the Lead with Peter Blakeley and Andy Duffy's Approach to Winning BIG in Sporting Clays both cover
the relative advantages of each action type. Peter Blakeley prefers the double
while Andy Duffy prefers the self-loader. Each explains why in his DVD.

Mastering the Double Gun covers the relative advantages and disadvantages of the Side x Side and Over/Under
double designs for both clay target games and wingshooting, and why understanding
these advantages and disadvantages is required for understanding and mastering
the double gun.

Wingshooting: Putting More
Birds in Your Bag is probably the most comprehensive video ever produced
to teach you how to hit game birds. Wingshooting is not about how to hunt birds, but rather about how to hit them. Professional wingshooters
and instructors Bruce Scott and Marty Fischer, hosts of the popular Shotgun
Journal television series, teach you the finer points of wingshooting
and how to hit

dove, wild pigeon, Hungarian and
red-legged partridge,

duck, geese, ptarmigan, quail,
and

pheasant.

Hunting often occurs on uneven
terrain and birds flush unexpectedly, causing one to shoot while he is off
balance. Wingshooting covers shooting techniques from unconventional stances.

If you are an avid shotgunner,
you know that you need more than just the gun. The
Galco Sporting Collection is full of useful bags and carriers to facilitate
carrying ammunition and other gear.
